I have only ever seen this colour form on C. truncata so maybe it is unique ti that species.
Yes I think that is the case. Its quite a while since Ive read the text on it now but I'm almost certain that Waring, Townsend and Lewington states that this is the case.
Virtually all the C. truncata in the iSpot carousel for the species are this colour form based on the reliability of this form being truncata and not citrata. The exceptions are those where a view of the underside is available to seperate the 2 species.
