Large Brown & Red Moth

Description:

A large moth (see second photo for a guide to size)which flew into the bathroom and had to be caught and released outside. I think it may be a hawk moth of some kind. Largely brown, serrated wings with red underwings.
Terrain: farmed hillside: mostly olive groves (other, larger trees in the area).

It is in the new edition of WTL "A field Guide to the Moths of Great Britain and Ireland". It's not one I've really heard of until I looked. Regards Chris
