Observed: 23rd August 2013 By: Bewildered
Yellow Fungus

A fungus growing on a heavily decayed (cut) willow trunk. This picture shows the full extent of the fungus and it had gone 3 days later. Size was about 20 cms by 6 cms plus the bit on the beech leaf. The log is in heavy shade beneath a weeping beech in our back garden.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
