Very similar to Devil's bit Scabious Succisa pratensis, but it has white florets instead. Is this a cultivated plant that has escaped?

Succisa pratensis

Yes, put up the ID - quickly Ollie.
It is normal here (and there!)
They range from the lovely cornflower blue to close to pure white.
