Cross pollinated plants

I observed this last weekend a combination of two plants in the garden. I can only assume that they have been cross pollinated!
They were of course vertical, but I spot doesn't seem to have a facility to upright them!

The other plant...

...the one with the seed pods in the second picture, is likely to be Sisyrinchium striatum.
