Don't suppose we are going to get anywhere IDing Russulas other than to genus level. This one was common under sweet chestnut on clay with flints over chalk soil. specimens were knocked over by deer which are very common in the area.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
