European Dwarf Mantis?

Description:

I rescued this critter from a swimming pool in Spain recently. I'm not sure how viable it was afterwards 'cos one of its wings seemed bent/damaged after the ordeal.
It was only about 2.5cms long. At the time I thought it was a Mantis Fly but now I see that there are several small Mantids that look more likely based upon the apparent length of the wings.
Based largely on the rather pointed shape of the eyes (see 2nd picture), at the moment I favor an Ameles species but there seem to be 5 very similar species in Spain in that genus so, ...?
