... but then, I haven't ever seen a female Trithemis annulata to compare. I think the thorax side an black markings atop S8&9 would look different, though.
There have been masses (plentiful, if not abundant) of T. annulata around this year. I logged an Observation in June (Node 335308) of a female T. annulata, confirmed by Roy.
The males are so obvious one can miss the females - they are so "ordinary"!
