Description:

In leaf litter under Oak.
Cap purple/red darker in centre. Slightly concave and undulating. 8cm. Younger specimens browner and convex.
Gills white/cream regular medium spaced.
Stipe 6cm x 2cm white.
Section white flesh 5mm gills upto 8cm white/light cream.
No appreciable odour.
Spore print white

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Russula

definitely a russula but sorry no agreement unless it was down as just russula then details after as what you think it is as these need microscopy and chemical tests one of the hardest fungi to id I have nightmares with these
