Patrick,
If you do not know what something is, then leave the ID blank. All we need to know is which group it belongs to, such as 'invertebrates' in this case.

Actually in this case you do know more than you are letting on because you believe it to be a ladybird larva. The ladybirds are beetles so you can put ladybird or beetle as the common name in the ID, click 'get recommended' and the scientific name for ladybird 'Cocinellidae' or for beetles 'Coleoptera' should come up. These are perfectly good IDs.
