Description:

Beautiful arctic-alpine species favouring areas with late-lying snow, the undersides of the lobes a brilliant saffron. Abundant on the montane heath surrounding the summit, which was arctic enough for me, even in August.

Identifications

Envy

Top of my own wants list. My own Ben Lawers plans have fallen through for medical reasons, so I am now especially jealous of this and your other finds.

Splendid photographs.

Thanks

I had intended to get a new camera and macro lens before I left, but I didn't make my mind up in time. I have many lousy photos of small, blurry things in dark crevices.

And my legs still ache!
