I have recently found 2 shaggy bracket fungi which were quite different in appearance. Both were high up on large ash trees, one was thick and rounded which expanded and thinned the other was very 'knobbly' and weeping an amber liquid. Both were submitted on Ispot and ID confirmed as shaggy brackets. The first was too high to see if it was weeping. I've been unable to find out if this knobbly shape is normal or not, can anyone help?
