Roosting wader

Description:

A medium-sized wader, approximately the size of a lapwing, roosting alongside a flock of much larger curlews, on the edge of an estuarine salt marsh. Legs dark grey(?), underside pale buff, with a white patch to the rear. Upper parts striped. Distinct pale supercilium. Beak not visible.

Certainly looks like a Barwit but I am amazed how tiny it looks compared to the Curlew!
