Description:

In the salty air of maritime-heath strips, the blue of knapweed and scabious are a seasonal delight, each hugely attractive to insects; my favourite is the scabious and its colour variants.
A colour-clash with the heather but not the ragwort nor the birds-foot trefoil; the former is in full glory just now, the latter rather late or longer lasting this year.
