Hairy Buttercup

I am not at all sure but are the sepals too large for the Bulbous Buttercup, and are there hairs on the stems?

Could this be the Hairy Buttercup?

bulbous vs hairy

Hairy buttercup is a species I am not familiar with as there are no records from Ireland (where I am from) or the Isle of Man (where I now live and where the pic was taken). It does appear surprising that it is not present in the IOM as the UK distribution is on the west coast. http://data.nbn.org.uk/gridMap/gridMap.jsp?allDs=1&srchSpKey=NBNSYS00000...

Based on lack of historical records I will stick with my observation, but I will look more closely in future.
