Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
It really helps with identification on Hygrocybe if you give details on cap stem and gills for instance if the cap was greasy, scurfy, dry, viscid, slimy also same with stem some have a smell to them and also cut through the stem and cap to see flesh colour and if the stem is hollow or full.
Fraid have no useful details to add only the photo , was certainly not slimy and not sure what scurfy or viscid would look like ! Ta for comment tho
or could it be the small vermillion Waxcap ?
If you had the details I mentioned I could have keyed out the information for you as I have a book The genus Hygrocybe but it's not possible from photo alone.I carry a small notepad and pencil plus ruler when out as it is so easy to forget the details especially if you find a few fungi.
Next time will definitely be more prepared ! Ta v
