Description:

When I came away from handling this I noticed a strongly fragrant smell on my hands but the grooved cups seem to indicate this is not fragrant agrimony.

Glands

I understand that both Agrimonia eupatoria and A. procera have glands between the hairs that release the fragrance, but they are more numerous in the latter species.

Fragrance

Thanks for that info.
In Rose it's described as "not scented or scarcely so" which made me question the ID. It's not a plant I have seen before.
I'd like more info about the fragrance of plants as it's something I tend to notice.
