Lucilia

You can't assume it is caesar, there are other species.

Sorry, I should have asked -

Sorry, I should have asked - do I need to re-submit this as simply 'Lucilia'? Can I still retain the id as 'Greenbottle'? I'm very unsure about insects (although I am pleased with the photo!)

Green

Greenbottle is fine, but better to redo as Lucilia, yes. They are not easy, these 'common' flies and books and many websites give you the impression that Lucilia caesar is the only one...the fun of flies is that there are so many and they look so similar. Bristles on the legs and so on is what it is all about!

I think it is Lucilia, by the way...but there are other genera under the title of Greenbottle, as well.
