If I recall correctly ...

... wild carrot is toxic as well, unless I've been confused by references to the toxicity of Queen Anne's Lace (which is the American name for this species).

Wild carrot is not toxic to my knowledge

Although the sap can cause an allergic reaction to sunlight (this is also found in Giant Hogweed).
The family contains root crops (like carrot), spices (coriander, caraway, fennel, fenugreek, cumin, aniseed, and others) and some very poisonous ones (Hemlock and the Water Dropworts).
