Description:

It was never going to be easy, so I set Ruaridh (aged 8) to do the ID (as you do).
Those are his notes - he is far more observant than me!
I had to go back to it because the 'thorns' he mentions are crucial! I was supposed to know that!

not minding..

Listen...he could coax it into his tiny hands; he decided prawn not shrimp; he spotted the thorns
We adults used words like rostrum characteristics or bifurcated at the tip and the teeth on its dorsal surface continue into the distal third...
I think it's P.serratus, he doesn't mind yet! But 'it IS a Prawn' he says.
As I said, I NEED an iPad.
