Unidentified Moth

Observed: 6th August 2013 By: MrsGuineaMrsGuinea’s reputation in InvertebratesMrsGuinea’s reputation in Invertebrates

A brown moth, about 2cm at widest part of wings in photo, a little shorter than 2cm long. Held its wings 'tent-wise' at rest and when disturbed it opened them slightly and rapidly shivered the wing tips. Appears to have large 'ears' held erect just behind the head. A bright mark on each wing was a creamy white/yellow colour.
