Description:

Observed first wriggling at bottom of toilet pan! Appears happy in water. Total length tip to tail a frightening 3cm. There were three of them. Am grossed out to be honest.

Drone Fly larva

This is the larva of the Drone Fly - a common woodland insect that hovers in shafts of sunlight above head-height. I agree on the grossness, by the way.
