on dead wood
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
how tall was it?
It's a while ago now but I think it was about 3 or 4 cms
I have added agreement, as this is definitely Calocera viscosa, but it is not a good idea to put in a question mark as part of the name. You can indicate uncertainty by choosing "might be this" from the menu.
As it stands, you have called it "Calocera viscosa ?" and there is no such species.
Normally we get quite annoyed when the original poster adds a 'new' ID repeating an authoritative ID that has been provided, but here, if Landgirl Maggie were to add a new ID without the question mark, I could then remove my existing agreement and add it to her new ID.
I apologise for using the question mark and causing confusion ( and annoyance ). I have not been a member for long and am still learning the ropes. I hope I have corrected things as was suggested.
You get the credit for a correct ID, with my 'expert' agreement, counts slightly more towards your "reputation" I think, and you will see that your observation now links to other images/observations of Calocera viscosa.
