Found in marginal pond vegetation feeding on marsh bedstraw. Looks more like D.elpenor than D.porcellus, the small elephant hawkmoth.

You are correct but you have the names inverted. Is that an issue ? It's just that your entry will not link to others on iSpot nor will the data reach NBN records. You might want to add a revised ID.

Thanks, I've changed it. The 'find recommended' function wasn't working for some reason the first time.

To the hyphen, probably. ISpot has trouble with hyphenated names - you have to try it both ways, or type so slowly it has chance to out-think you!
