I think you mean there is a black marking separating T2 and T3? H. hybridus lacks the black band.
Isn't the small black marking on T3 a sign that it's a male? Hasn't the female got a bigger black band on T3?
I think features like that are a bit variable. Safer to work on the parallel eye margins atop the head for a male, divergent eye margins for a female.
