I've never knowingly seen one of those before. I'm delighted!
They're spreading north and west throughout England. It's possible they are relatively new colonist in your area? They're very noisy too - a constant harsh 'electrical' buzz when it's sunny (but high frequency, not for old ears!).

It didn't give me much chance to listen to it. It hopped across the path in front of me, posed for a moment, then into the deep grass.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for them in future.
