...I know there's an urge to change titles/descriptions to make everything match once you have an ID, but sometimes it's helpful - believe it or not - to see where people get confused.
If you thought it was Z and it turned out to be X, then it helps the rest of us to know that Z and X can be confused.
I don't know what your original title was, but even "Unknown plant" gives a sense of relief that other people can also "not know" every plant that exists.
I didn't phrase that very well, but I hope you can see what I mean!

... is to change the title to A (was B). That way people scanning titles know what it's about, while the advantages of an unedited title are still retained.
