Description:

A Ulidiid associated with Poplar. The fly was on a bench, flicking its wings and moving about in a jerky run. The female was found nearby a fortnight later.

This is an extremely interesting record Jeremy. I took it in South London in the early 1990s - there is a short paper in the Journal of the BENHS. There are very few records since mine - so it would be worth putting a note on observations in one of the entomological journals.
