Description:

Several of these along bankside thistles on the river Stour in Dorset. A cuckoo bee? No pollen sacks, possibly a well worn Bombus vestalis?

A very worn Bombus pascuorum.

A very worn Bombus pascuorum. Bombus does not have 'sacks'. It just sticks pollen to its back legs, and if it is not collecting pollen there is no pollen mass.
