Description:

20cm x 15cm fragment of desiccated, translucent, bristly skin, with embedded sub-circular bony plates (scutes?), each of which has an enamel-like hooked boss. The back of each is domed and grooved.
At one end appears to be a rayed fin 15cm x 6cm, and a small flap of skin folded underneath suggests the other surface of the fish.
