Soldier-fly, Stratiomyidae, maybe Microchrysa.

I have now followed this up and have looked at some images of Stratiomyidae /Microchrysa . What I saw looks very like a Soldier Fly called 'Black-horned Gem'- Microchrysa polita, though it might well be something similar. Your assistance was very useful.

I think nI will just label the Observation 'Microchrysa'.I will look up your suggestion,M.cyaneiventris however, and try to take a more accurate photo next time.
