arbustorum?

I think a bit of a dark facial knob can just about be seen, and I don't think the hind metatarsus looks especially thick! Just shows the difficulty of these from a photo, as features can be interpreted differently by different people.Colour wise, it looks bright...

I see what you mean about the dark 'spot', Ian. I had missed that but am unsure whether it is part of the fly or part of the flower!

The rear metatarsus looked thicker than the that on the middle leg to me - but is this "thick" thick enough (or is that me!)

As you say - different people may form different views from the same photos.

All great fun though!
