J01_3504 Brown Hawker male
Description:

A few days ago I was watching several Brown Hawkers flying tirelessly, and thinking, "wouldn't it be nice if one of those hung up?". No such luck. Well, today, at the Duke of Bedford's pad in Woburn, one of the resident Brown Hawkers caught a damselfly and landed just long enough to consume it, which took only a couple of brief minutes.

Having spent an afternoon

Trying to catch one at rest, I can appreciate the patience this must have taken. Great photo!
