Tall (5') plant with rough hairy stem and large lobed & toothed leaves particularly towards the base of the stem. Flowers as you can see in the photo

I think you are right.

I think you are right. Looking around the net, Chicory flowers are typically arranged on the main stem and tight to the stem (one site compares them to microwave dishes on a mast) while CBST flowers are on longer branching stems as is the case here. Very similar though, and the flowers near identical.
