Added: 21st July 2013 Description:
A thin crustose lichen on concrete. Irregular black apothecia with grey edges. Overlapping colonies with grey edges, roughly circular and about 3cm in diameter.
Edit: Changed to match AlanS's ID. Many thanks.
Identifications Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain. Notes: Placodioid (crust with a lobed margin), dark apothecia with distinct white margins. Colonies often darkish grey with a distinctly paler edge.
Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain. Notes: Aaagh! Just as I clicked the button to add the ID, I spotted the typo. Just too late. So notes as before, but 'radiosa', NOT 'radiata'. I do think we need to have some kind of instant edit function, even if for only a very short time. It is right that people cannot change their IDs - it is part of the history of thinking about the photo, but there should be some kind of accomodation for folks whose brains are in blip mode. I am reasonally sure of the ID, but I note it is in France.
No interactions present.
