Henricia

is a genus with starfish aka Bloody Henry. There are two species, distinguished by the spines which in H. sanguinolenta end in a cluster of long spikes not covered by skin; the other species is H. oculata whose spines end in a cluster of rather short points covered by thick skin. I think the larger of the two starfish in this photo is one of these species. Both are recorded from the area of St Abbs.
