Lightly hairy, so not mollis

Two close ups attached ,though I'm not sure they'll necessarily help. There is no extra hairy bit at the joint which is why I went for lanatus
... but I though I could see the fuzzy sheaths of lanatus in the original photographs.
Holcus lanatus has hooked awns, H. mollis has bent awns. These look straightish but I could be persuaded of their hookiness.
I agree with you all that it looks rather like H. lanatus, especially re. the awns. I just didn't want any one to be mislead by our agreements because on the basis of the orinal pics it might be H. mollis as well...
The awns of H. mollis would be clearly visible whereas those of H. lanatus are harder to detect as is the case here.
I found what I think is mollis nearby so will compare and contrast. Probably tomorrow.
