Description:

Apologies for the quality of the photo. I know Carpet moths can vary a lot. The closest I can see to this in Townsend and Waring is Chestnut-coloured Carpet, which hasn't been found in Norfolk. My impression was that this specimen was bigger than that species, although it escaped shortly afterwards so I couldn't check size directly against the picture in the book.

Hi Cathal, it is indeed. Spruce and Pine Carpets have both been suggested to me since posting the photo, both of which seem good shouts.
