Earthball.

We collected one 'Earthball' and cut it in half and leftthe other one in situ in the wood. It has not grown into anything resembling a Stinkhorn yet (3 weeks since the photo ) although I did wonder at one point. If it develops I will post a picture.
Thank you for the suggestion though, you may well be correct.
