Approximately 6mm in length with dark orange/red wing case and pale brown legs, 9 or 10 spots on each side.

Harlequin Ladybird

From what I have read, these ladybirds are invasive and non-native to the UK. The UK Ladybird Survey group are keeping a record of where these ladybirds are being seen; the link is:
