Caterpillar on Cyclamen

Observed: 11th July 2013 By: PatrickroperInvertebrates expert
20130711 SV Cyclamen purpurascens & caterpillar (2)

I spotted this little looper caterpillar in a potted plant of Cyclamen purpurascens in a cool greenhouse. Probably a coincidence that it resembles the bud stalks so closely. It looks as though it may have eaten a hole in one of the buds but, so far, I have not found any moth species that favours cyclamen. Does anyone know what it might be?

    Likely ID
    Looper caterpillar (Geometrid larva)
Confidence: I'm as sure as I can be.
