the question is this

the question is this non-native species bad for our environment or not? It is well known to shade vast areas preventing native species from getting enough light to grow. however I have recently see pipefish making use of it as a place to attach. Is seahorses were seen to do the same our thoughts on the species might change!

And a very interesting question that is.

Our views on 'good and bad' species, depending on how they affect our 'native' species, is a discussion that could run and run....
However, if it provides an additional habitat for pipefish or even seahorses, then it will probably soon get a good press.
