Added: 14th July 2013 Description:
I see this little goose regularly on our local estuary. It seems to keep company with the wild mute swans. I think it might be a domestic breed that has escaped, but would like any help with identification.
Confidence: I'm as sure as I can be. Notes: smaller than mute swan, heavy orange bill, white breast, grey back, brown stripe down back of neck
Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain. Notes: Looks to be a hybrid between a Greylag and another species. The head seems to show something of the appearance of Swan Goose, but hard to be sure. How small is small?! Is it smaller than a normal Greylag Goose, about the same, or larger?
