Common Lutestring

If it is that it will be new to me (mothing since 2004) and new to the site (moderately intensive recording since the mid 1960s) so a good record.

I catch both mouse moth and

I catch both mouse moth and common lutestring every year and I can guarantee that the moth in your photo is a common lutestring.

This one was retained and examined by the (highly reliable) Rachel Terry who agreed with the ID as Common Lutestring.

Currently we have one iSpot expert saying it is not that. With no disrespect to Ron I am going to accept Donlad and Rachel's ID of this. Happy to listen to Ron's reasons for agreeing with my original ID (which I now think is wrong).
