Possibly

The almost complete lack of yellow on my moth is what caused me concern. It has been retained to have its bits done anyway so I can update the entry at some point.

Just had a look at Bradley, et al and they say for this species that "Variation. Minor variation occurs in the depth of the orange-yellow coloration and in the size and shape of the blotches of the forewing."

Seen that

Although I would say that being almost entirely not orange-yellow would not fall within the term "minor variation in the depth of the orange-yellow". Probably is this species of course, but wear rather than variation may be the right explanation. Or perhaps I am over-interpreting the text.
