Mysterious membranous sac in bluebell wood

Was bout 2 inches by 1 inch, not slimy but felt like a stretched elastic skin to touch , gave a little with pressure , couldn't work out if fungus or egg sac but never seen anything like it before, would be v grateful if anyone can ident , ta v
