Red deer swimming

Red deer can swim, and do in parts of Scotland at least; however, it is rare to see them in water. Very lucky.

Thanks for your comment. This photo was taken late afternoon on a very hot day. This shallow pool is well shaded and the deer was walking slowly, occasionally drinking from the surface and in no huury to get out.
