I tried to add an identification but made an error. So here goes again.
These spiders are common in my house and lurk in dark corners [not Tegenaria]. They are also present in my potting shed, which is attached to an old brick garage. There are lots of webs stretching across the ceiling and each time I open the door, an attached thread triggers all the spiders to bounce up and down.
Daddy long-legs spiders (not to be confused with Daddy long-legs of course!) have more elongate bodies and possibly slightly less spindly legs. The segmentation on the abdomen of this specimen indicates harvestmen most strongly.
