Skomer Kestrel

Observed: 28th June 2013 By: John PilkingtonJohn Pilkington’s reputation in BirdsJohn Pilkington’s reputation in BirdsJohn Pilkington’s reputation in BirdsJohn Pilkington’s reputation in Birds
Description:

A solitary bird, which took us by surprise, whilst we were sat at the northern end of the island - so no photo opportunity. It initially flew along cliff edge, before retreating inland slightly and adopting the "tell-tale" hovering position - the bird was too small and the wind not strong enough for it to have been a Buzzard.
