This is a great set of photos, showing the insect from various angles, makes it much easier to suggest an identification. Having said that, I find Eupeodes hoverflies quite hard to identify correctly, but I think we have to rule out corollae, as the yeloow spots should reach right to the edge of the abdomen in that species. I think this is a female E. luniger.
